Bottom Screen Flickering Light Blue when analog is moved?

So I just bought a second hand modded 3ds xl console (katsukity mod) This is from another owner not the original company. The issue is that when I'm playing a game or if I apply a little pressure to the left side of the 3ds (the side with the analog stick) the bottom screen will spazz out and basically flicker a bluish filter over bottom screen image, it still displays it's just discolored and I'm afraid this will cause the screen to stop working altogether.

This issue wasn't described in the item description so I feel it might have happened during shipping because the box used was too large and the small box for the 3ds probably bounced around.

It specifically happens if I pinch the top left side of the analog stick and the bottom of the 3ds a little bit. So that explains why it happens when I move up and left as I imagine my hand would put more pressure on the 3ds in this situation.

I looked at the diagrams and such here, it seems that there is a ribbon cable (in the picture on here , on the top right of the 3ds's bottom half) I'm not sure if this is connected to the screen but would applying pressure to this ribbon cable cause a symptom like this?

Hi!

Yes, you should check that ribbon connection, make sure the cable is seated properly and does not move around.

This guide will help you disassemble the console and get to the problem area:
