washer sounds like it drains but motor never stops, you have to unplug to make it stop. Then when you try to restart any cycle - the motor goes back to where it left off .” Doesn't start the spin cycle

@auntaa you could start by checking the pumps.
If the pumps are showing normal values, I suspect you are having issues with the Rotor Position Sensor. To test those you can run the diagnostics. It should be similar to this Maytag Bravos Diagnosticsbut is depending on your exact model. Test #3 would be the one of interest to you. Let us know what you find.

@auntaa I am a bit confused by this. The motor never stops doing what? Pumping? Does it drain? What works on your washer? What have you checked?

@auntaa the pump "does not stop and kick over to spin" What do you mean by kicking over? You put the dirty laundry in, your washer fills up with water and washed, then it drains and does not stop draining???? What exact model is your washer?
