@jill466 ,Jackie,gill.kirkby If port is found to be bad/loose/damaged , this is really not a repair for the inexperienced because the charge port for your device is soldered to the daughter board and the heat generated could cause further damage if not very careful. I will post a link to a tear down guide to get you inside the tablet to check the charge port and will also post a link showing what is involved in repairing a mini USB attached to the board(not your device, but shows how). The last link is to new charge port, which you can also do a search for better pricing perhaps or use your complete model# to search for a complete daughter board with USB already attached which would be a much easier fix for DIY repair. If not wanting to do the repair yourself have a good computer/cell phone repair shop have a look and estimate repair. Good luck.

Have you tried a different compatible charger?
Have you tried charging it from a known working USB port on a computer?
Have you tried a different charging USB cable?
How do you know that the battery is good?

Hi yes I have done all that. When it came on it showed that it was charging and then it stopped and this would continue until now it's not charging at all.

Hi,
Check the charge port for lint and that the pins are all there. Use a strong light and a magnifying glass. If there is anything lodged in the USB port use a wooden toothpick to gently pry it out. Try not to damage the connecting pins.
Does the charge port feel 'loose' at all when you plug in the cable?
Is the phone 'recognized' when it is connected to a computer?
It could still be the battery. How old is it? Even rechargeable batteries have a life span.

Hi thanks for that I'm having trouble with the charging port. I have to hold the the USB cable up for it to charge but now it's not working. I have checked if all the pins are there that is all fine and nothing is lodged inside.

Ahh, since you have to do that, find the direction that you have to push it and than use something to put pressure in that direction to hold it in place. If it charges and works, you probably need to replace the port.
