Will not charge tablet
Will not charge even though I'm using original block and usb cord. It shows that it is charging and says it is but the % never goes up. What are the possibilities of why this may be occurring?
Hello jonnyjlo5 my one of my costumers had the same problem and there is one of 2 things that I think are wrong it might be the cable or the micro usb port to the tablet or the battery I think it might be the battery or the port for what I can tell by your description
My notebook galaxy 2014 not charge I use new cable but not working I bring to a tech but he can't fix
Use the charging block that came with the tablet. A phone charger wont work if you got them mixed up. Most phone charger have an output of 1.0 amps whereas a tab charger has an output of 2.0 amps. On a phone charger, the tab will say it's "charging" but the percentage won't move. In some cases it may even go down if you are watching a movie or something. Late answer but I hope it helps.
Sry for my english is not the best, but Google helps a little to Translate German --> English.
I had the same problem, the tablet did not load with 2A and the pc did not recognize it.
1. I had to re-solder the socket on the motherboard for the battery
"I had to solder because the socket has detached itself from the board and not all contacts were more connected"
2. all cables and ribbon cables are removed and reinserted
3. Ribbon cable and micro usb port cleaned with alcohol
and now I have 2A charging power and the data connection to the pc goes
I can not guarantee that it helps everyone, it worked for me
It definitely sounds like the battery cannot charge past this point anymore. Has it ever been dropped with the cable plugged in to the port? If yes then it's possible to solder has been broken on the board.. Although the system detects power so I'm thinking it's battery at this point.
When you connect the tablet to the pc do you see the Charging/USB options appear at the top of the notification
.. try selecting the charging only option and see what happens. The PC might also not be outputting proper voltage from the port.
Take a very small standard screwdriver and slightly bend the small tabs at each end of the tablet port to the inside. Sometimes if you pull the charging port out kinda sideways they won't connect and charge the tablet, you can squeeze the port on the cable as well as this also helps. Been there, done that.
