PTAC unit heater problem

Notice my PTAC amana unit not heating. Did the code check nothing. Did factory reset and push some more buttons; also kicked breaker. Heater works now and cycles on and off all evening. Go to work come home and the room is cold. Reset the master switch and breaker and now my heat works again. What is causing it to stop heating?
