The printer may be set up to use Quiet Print Mode. The engine speed gets reduced in this mode and it can make the printer whistle like this. If you know it's own or aren't sure, turning it off may get rid of it if it annoys you that much.

To do this on the 2 line LCD printer:

  • Go to System Settings
  • Find Quiet Print Mode
  • Change it to Off

If the noise remains, the motors are causing it. I would do your best to ignore it but if it bothers you they can be replaced but it's a difficult repair.

how do i get to the spot to change i don't see quiet print mode

I own the 2 line LCD model and that's what works for me. You must have a touchscreen variant.

I don't own one of these (nor easy access) so I don't know how but it's probably similar.

Most likely - It could be loud sound of toner cartridge, another version for that - fuser film needs to be oiled or replace due to insufficient amount of oil under it and worn out. Next thing I would check - is feed roller.

But I'm assuming - it's cartridge. If you have another one - try to put it in and check how it sounds to your ears.
