MacBook Not coming on

Hi people

i really really need help my Macbook's display was cracked and had to be replaced mac was working perfectly ok with the externel display,

i followed the ifixit guide word by word while replacing the LCD, i should add i have repplaced displays of macbooks for friends and family follwing the same guide and none have had an issue to this date but with my own only thing i did tat was not in the guide was to take the ram,

Now macbook simply wont come on i have double, tripple checked the cables, all are exactley where they should be have made sure Ram is pluged in propely Macbook dose boot up but nothing comes on the screen also external disply is not pciking up any thing either just shows no signal, i can hear the hard drive activity but nothing on the screen

i will really appricate any help and advise , i have tons of university work on the Macbook]

Please be more descriptive of does not boot up to help us help you. - Any sounds, flashes/color on screen? Of course the screen is the same part number? Have you done a shift boot? Tried Booting from a CD/DVD?

the work is most likely still there. You can put the HD in an external case to access it from another Mac while working out the bug on this one.

One thing that you said stands out to me. That is "front LED comes on"

If the sleep indicator light comes on and stays on there is likely a problem with your logic Board. However it could be just a connection. I have had this problem before myself.

Here is an excerpt from the service manual that may be helpful.

6. Boot up the system and check the sleep indicator. If it turns on solid and turns off, the main

logic board is getting power and completing the boot cycle. If no video appears, there is an

issue turning the video turn-on or system software is corrupted. Try booting off the Mac OS

X Install DVD. If the light does not turn off, the boot cycle is not being complete. This may be

cause by the hard drive not being seen by the system, system software corrupted or possibly

a hardware issue.

7. Press Caps Lock key to see if key light comes on. If it does, hold power button down for six

seconds to shut down the computer and restart.

8. If it still doesn’t start, verify power button cable is connected properly to top case flex cable

assembly and that the flex cable is connected correctly to the logic board, if power button is

not functioning correctly or damaged, replace the top case.

9. Disconnect keyboard completely. Inspect connectors. Restart with keyboard disconnected.

10. Replace Logic Board

appriciate the response guys

macbook turns on screen flashes for half a sec and then nothing i can hear the hard drive moving, front led comes on, the optical drives makes a sound as well?
