Broken cigarette lighter - Fuse problem?

So the light around the rim comes on when I turn the lights on, but it doesnt seem to work. Tried plugging my sat nav in and got nothing, although it works in other cars. What do I need to do and how? Please help me

Yes

it could be a fuse. Look in fuse box for blown one - often inside the cover of the box it tells which fuse is for what.

If the new fuse just blows out then there's a short in the unit (or wires leading to the unit). If you find the short it may be repairable, or you may need to replace the unit.

The light in the rim and the lighter itself are two different circurits. As said before look for a blown fuse.

To add to the info above: Power outlet is #26 (20amp) and the Cigarette lighter is #24 (25amp)

Only have 22 fuses, none marked 12v outlet, car does not have cig. Lighter.

Light around outlet does not light up,

2002 G L X.

Unplugged from back no power, which fuse should it be?
