Keyboard skips words and goes to another line

I am typing and the letters skip. Go over a word or even a line. I have used the air and no help

@jekpoppy could be a bad keyboard. Try a USB keyboard and see if that works without difficulties. If so, replace the keyboard. Here is the guide for that.
