iPhone 4S few issues after repair? PLEASE HELP.

Hi,

I recently had a pretty bust up Iphone 4S which I decided to fix as it was alot cheaper to do that than buy a new phone obviously: The problems were it needed a new home button,new screen and new battery.

Upon reassembly the screen is working well but I have a few strange issues with the phone which I am hoping you guys can help with!

1. The battery displays at 100% all the time?

2. The phone appears to be stuck on 'searching' in the top corner and no WIFI seems to be available?

3. The phone seems to be very sensitive to opening apps and generally doing any functions other than very basic ones. It will randomly power off and restart?

Think that is the main issues. As I said screen and home button are now great but I have a number of general issues.

Before we try anything else. Try a Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons for about 15 seconds until the iPhone turns off itself and then restarts.

Small problem. The home button is not working. Any way around this?

If the homebutton is not working this sound like a hardware problem to me. Can could disconnect the batty for a few minutes, this should also work. But be very careful and dont brake of the battery connector. You also could try to reset the phone. If this is not working, its probaly a hardware problem.

Sorry I did not mean home button. I mean the little power button on the top. Home button is working fine.

2008coatsy, sounds like you have had some damage to the board

1.Repair your power button. The button is part of your power flex, also check on here

2.Could be a bad battery or your battery connector as well as the components around it. Check for broken/missing ones.

3.This could be caused by a time/date error. Set the time/date manually. When you have set the date and time, remove the sim card and put it back in. Also, try putting it into airplane mode with the sim card in then take the phone out of airplane mode. Worst case is a bad inductor (proverbial "blue coil" or the WiFi IC)

All of this could have happened as a result of pry damage. So take a real close look at your board.

Thanks for the input. It is the power button on the top that is not working. Home Button is fine my mistake. The phone is currently making the sync sound when charging but nothing is happening?
