I'm working on a 16 GB phone that will not power on. I recently bought a pocket microscope and was looking around at the resistors around the power connectors. It appears one is missing. Does anyone know where to get these resistors or if there is a cheap service for repair? See pics below for resistor in question.

Brandon, sorry but it is not a resistor. The missing part is reference designator FL49 which is a 20OHM 210MA filter in a 01005 package. It also appears that you are missing DZ15 which is a 12V 33PF Zener diode in a 01005 package. Please remember that the 01005 package is only 0.4 × 0.2 mm (0.016 × 0.008 in), so you need some special skills and tools to replace those.

Thanks Old Turkey. I have read several other post and was hoping you would chime in. My mistake on the resistor, I don't know that much about electronics and was unable to find the schematics that I could zoom in far enough to see the labels without paying.
Do you know of anyone that does mail in repair or a good source to the parts required?

I'd try Mouser.com or Digikey.com. Since these parts are very difficult to replace, consider someone that does microsoldering.It'll cost you more but it has a greater chance of getting done.
Old Turkey, I had a chance to look at a working iPhone and noticed that the DZ15 was not on that phone either. Is this by chance a model specific part? The FL49 was on the working phone.
Looking at the schematic, yes it is possible.
