PS3 missing th6003 capacitor
Hi, What Can I do if the TH6003 is missing? Please Help!

tommyhedz, yes we can see the image. Sony placed a bunch of Thermal Resistors (not capacitors) to protect components from overvoltage. A thermistor is essentially a resistor whose resistance varies significantly with temperature. The part number for the one you would most likely need is 1-805-726-11 and an absolute pain to find any information about. It is also used in many other device, like Sony's video cam etc.

thermistor. that is going to be the biggest challenge. Try to use teh part number to dig it up somewhere. Otherwise I'd contact either digikey.com or Mouser.com and see if their engineering department can help you out. Digikey has tons of thermistors, but we do not know the exact values.
My answer here would be to replace it. I am sure that is not what you wanted to ask. How do you know it is missing (post an image of your logic board with your question)? How are you for skills with soldering etc? How did it get missing?

I was cleaning my ps3 a while back and I put the motherboard in a box waiting for a new thermal arrive to my mailbox, and I put the board without any buble films, I don't know how the th6003 was broken or missing. The two pads of the th6003 are in perfect conditions. I try to use a jumper but it doesn't work I need a new capacitor. My skills soldering is pretty good. Sir I don't know where I can post a photo. Do you know where can I buy another th6003 capacitor? Sorry for my bad english and thank you so much for you answer.
