Computer not starting after Logic Board Replacement

I recently spilled a cup of coffee on my 13" MacBook pro. After drying it out I was able to turn it on and use it, but it was lagging very bad and being incredibly slow. I was told at the Mac store that I would most likely need a logic board replacement. Not wanting to spend the $750 they offered I found one on eBay for 400 so I bought it. Fast forward to today when I install it and now it will not turn on. When I press the power button no sounds are heard and the fan will start up for maybe 1-2 seconds before stopping. This is the only life I can get out of it. The charger light will report green the whole time it is plugged in and the battery indicator light seems to be working fine as well. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything several times with no luck. Anyone out there know what's going on?

A normal spill on the keyboard shorts it out and kills the power on button. The logic board is fairly well protected by the black plastic on the bottom of the keyboard. I've found that only about 25% of the time does the liquid get through to the logic board. This model does not require a complete uppercase replacement as the keyboard can be replaced with a lot of work. Did you find evidence of damage on the logic board? How about on the mag-safe board?

Forgot to add that before taking to the apple store I took to a local shop (because my MacBook was out of warranty) and they said all I needed was a keyboard and trackpad replacement so I replaced both of those already. Cannot identify any real damage anywhere else
