MacBook Battery doesn't fit

Hello. Purchased a replacement battery for my Santa Monica MacBook recently. It works, charges, provides 2-4 hours of life, even in the power draining windows 7 partition. My problem is that it doesn't seem to fit properly. My 2 OEM Apple batteries fit with no issues, but this new replacement does not sit flush in the compartment. After a bit of inspection ( by touch and visual), it would seem the spring that pops the battery out when "unlocked" is too strong, causing the whole battery to sit ever so slightly out of place. I'm more worried about inadvertent problems caused by it not fitting, than it not fitting. Any advice/thoughts before I request an RMA?
