Changing connector between caliper brake hose, and main brake line.

The front passenger side connector that connects the rubber hose from the caliper to the main brake line rusted. I was working on the car, and after starting to lift it when the hose just fell of the connector, and dumped out all the brake fluid. I slide it back on, filled the brake fluid up, and had my friend pump the brakes, and it shot right off. I looked closer at it, and the outer shaft of the connector that holds the rubber line up had rusted away inside the rubber boot that slides over it, and the hose once you connect them.

How do I do about changing that connector. I have a new caliper with a new hose going on, and the main brake line is perfectly fine. The connector just rusted away,

Nick, the rubber brake line should connect with your brake line via the flare nut. I should not have a separate connector. Take a couple of pictures of the damaged connector and post those with your question. Right now it sound like you will have to replace the line. Also, remember that if one is rusted away, it is most likely that you have the same issue on the other wheels as well. Carefully inspect all of your lines.

Is there anyway to just replace the flare nut or am I still going to have to replace the entire brake line?

完成的

I would suggest to replace the whole line. Yes, there are flaring tools etc. but if you have never used those tools, it could be difficult. After all, we are talking about your vehicles brakes; the greatest safety feature for you and others.
