Display not anchored horizontally/vertically

Last night I changed the battery and video display on my iPod Video 30 GB. After powering back up, the display lights up and has no pixel issues, but the display is not "anchored" horizontally or vertically. Sometimes the display is pushed to the right, so that the right side of the normal display is actually on the left side. The same goes for the vertical, and sometime it does both at the same time.

For example, the ">" which normally appears on the right side of the main menu may actually show up on the left side of the screen, or the "Music" may be at the middle or bottom of the screen, rather than the top.

It moves around, so it is not always displaying the same way.

Did I mess up the display connection?
