Leon, download the manual from here. It has the user manual as well as the tractor repair manual in the back. If you are looking for something more specific, let us know. Any engine repair etc, will require the service manual from the engine manufacturer, i.e. B&S etc. Hope this helps, good luck.

Difficult to keep manuals online for 9 years. It is now posted on the bottom of this page Craftsman Riding Mower as "Craftsman_917_2736403_DYT 4000"

I have a t140 craftsman riding mower.I took off the drive belt pulley assemble. I can not find how to put back on tractor. When I put together the belt will not disengaged with the motor running. I cannot the find adjustment on this t140 tractor. This only has two (2) pulleys NOT (3) pulleys.
This unit has left pedal which disengage the belt and brake. The right pedal only drive the unit. The more you push the pedal down the faster it will travel.

MTD makes many rebadged tractors including Craftsman. Search for craftsman tractor manual or MTD tractor manual and find one the looks similar. Most drive belt arrangements will be the same. My Troybilt has and idler pulley that tightens/loosens the belt. There are 4 pulleys, one on each blade drive, one on the motor and the idler. I can't picture how a 2 pulley system would work.
If you can't find a manual, you might also search parts stores for part diagrams.

I am sure they all do, but some off those need to be purchased through Craftsman and/or the dealers while others are downloadable.
