Can you please tell me where are the power pads for 2009 MBP 13"

I tried to short these pads but it didnt power up i did remove keyboard and trackpad flex cables, does the battery need to be plugged in for it to work ?

fatboysam, I am not a Mac person, but those pads should be located above the trackpad flex cable connector and below the hard drive flex cable connector. Hope this helps, good luck.
