Laptop not booting but fan spins and keyboard lights up

When I try to boot my laptop, the lights of the keyboard light up, and the fan spins very fast, and when I boot it with D pressed, it does some screen tests and then it turns off, I suspect it might be the ram because of [post|662754|this|new_window=true] article, please help.
