Camera will turn on for 1-2 seconds, then off; lens won’t retract

Hi there! I have a Canon SX610 and I love it! For some reason, though, it started acting up last weekend. The camera will turn on for 1-2 seconds, then off; the lens extends (minimally) during those seconds, then gets stuck. I push the “on” button again and it stays in for 1-2 seconds, the lens extends a little further, then the camera turns off. It won’t “play” any of the images - nothing appears on the screen. Any ideas?
