Olympus SP-320 Troubleshooting

Even after pressing the power button, the camera will not turn on, or it will turn off without the power button being pressed while in use.

Press the POWER button until the camera turns on.

Ensure batteries are fully charged and installed correctly, if not, install new batteries. For hep, refer to Olympus SP-320 Battery Replacement

Warm the batteries by putting them in your pocket for several minutes.

Press the shutter button or press the zoom lever.

Disconnect camera from computer. Camera will not operate when connected to a computer.

Use rechargeable batteries, such as CRV3 batteries.

Battery life decreases in cold temperatures. Hold camera in your coat when not in use.

After pressing the shutter button, no photo appears on the LCD screen and no new photos can be found in the camera reel.

Insert new card. Or, download pictures to a computer then erase them from the camera.

After pressing the shutter button, no photo is visible on the LCD monitor screen.

Exit shooting mode.

Disconnect from computer. Camera does not operate when connected to a computer.

Begin taking pictures.

Replace memory card slot.

The flash does not go off when trying to take pictures in dark environments or to illuminate a scene.

Select a flash mode, other than the flash symbol struck through.

Select the flash mode that is only the flash symbol, with no other markings.

The flash does not fire in the movie mode. Select a shooting mode other than movie mode.

The built-in flash does not fire in the super macro mode. Set the macro mode to OFF.

The flash does not fire in the panorama mode. Cancel panorama mode.

The shutter will not retract after turning off the camera or switching to a different shooting mode.

Replace lens.
