LG TP 1100 Troubleshooting
Phone won't turn on ¶
When you push the power key, the phone won't power on.
Bad battery ¶
Remove and then reinsert the battery and try to turn it on again. If that doesn't work, then plug the phone into the charger and try to turn it on. If the phone still doesn't turn on, the battery may be faulty and should be replaced.
No sound comes from the phone ¶
You cannot hear anything when placing a call, no one can hear you when you place a call, or the speakerphone doesn't project sound.
Broken earpiece ¶
If there is no sound from the phone's ear speaker, then either the solder contact is broken or the ear speaker itself has failed. If re-soldering the connection doesn't help then the ear speaker will likely have to be replaced.
Broken microphone ¶
If you cannot be heard through the phone when placing a call, then either the microphone's solder connection is broken or the microphone is faulty. If re-soldering the microphone doesn't help then it may need to be replaced.
Screen wont work ¶
The phone functions but the LCD display remains black.
Bad connection ¶
The connection between the screen and the circuit board may be loose. Be sure that the connection between the screen and the circuit board is firmly in place.
Damaged Screen ¶
If the screen remains black after the connection is in place then the screen may be damaged and will likely have to be replaced.
Keypad won't work ¶
The phone doesn't respond to input from the keypad.
Foreign object under the keypad ¶
If there is a foreign object stuck under the keypad that blacks one or more of the buttons from making contact with the electrical switch underneath then the keypad will need to be disassembled so that the object can be removed.
Misaligned keypad ¶
If one or more of the buttons appear to be sunk in or sticking out too far then they are most likely misaligned with the electrical switches underneath. Many times this can be solved simply by pushing or pulling the buttons back into place. If that doesn't work then disassemble then reassemble the keypad.
