LG Neon will not turn on
Dead Battery
The battery may be completely dead and not able to hold a charge. You will need to replace your battery. Follow the LG Neon Battery Replacement Guide.
Battery not connected properly
The battery may not be connected properly. Take the battery out and place it back into the phone following the LG Neon Battery Replacement Guide.
Motherboard
If replacing the battery still does not work, there is probably something wrong with the motherboard. To remove the motherboard, follow the LG Neon Replacement guide. This is not something that you will be able to fix. You will need to visit your nearest store or replace the phone.
LG Neon screen will not turn on
LG Neon screen is cracked or broken
If the screen has been physically cracked then the screen needs to be replaced. Follow the LG Neon Screen Replacement Guide to replace the screen.
Connector Ribbons
If the screen does not seem to be physically damaged then the connection ribbons that supply power to the screen may have become disconnected or damaged. Follow the LG Neon Connection Ribbon Guide.
LG Neon will not charge
Battery might not be connected properly
The battery may not be connected properly. Take the battery out and place it back into the phone following the LG Neon Battery Replacement Guide.
Battery is dead or damaged
The battery may be completely dead and not able to hold a charge. You will need to replace your battery. Follow the LG Neon Battery Replacement Guide.
Charging port is broken
If the charging port is broken then it will need to be replaced. Follow the LG Neon Charging Port Replacement Guide
LG Neon will not open and close properly
Debris may be in the slide panel
There may be debris that is preventing or impeding the slide function of the phone. Follow the LG Neon Disassembly Guide to access the slide spring component.
Slide panel spring system may have been broken
If there is no debris or visible object blocking the slide function then the spring slide system may be broken and need to be replaced. Follow the LG Neon Slide System Replacement Guide.
No audio or distorted audio
Antenna
First, check make sure you are in an area with a stable reception. If the audio is still not present or distorted, the antenna may be damage and needs to be replaced.
*Water damage
The audio of the phone may not be working due to water damage. Check the white strip on the side of the battery to ensure that it is white. To remove the battery, follow the LG Neon Battery Replacement Guide. If it is not white, then the phone has been affected by water damage. See section on water damage.
Speaker connections
The speaker wire connections may have been damaged or disconnected. Follow the LG Neon Speaker Connection Repair Guide.
Speaker is damaged
If the speaker is not working properly then it will need to be replaced. Follow the LG Neon Speaker Replacement Guide.
Broken Case
Replace case
If the case is cracked or broken, please see the Case Replacement Guide.
LG Neon is Unresponsive
Dead Battery

*Water Damage
Keypad Issues
If the keyboard is active but not responding, try restarting the phone. If this does not work, the keyboard may need to be replaced. See Keyboard Replacement Guide.
*Broken Touch screen
Camera is broken
Lens damaged
If the lighting and/or color are not normal or the camera is not working then the camera may be damaged. In this case the phone may need to be taken to the store for repair.
Application is not working
If the camera’s phone application is not working the problem may lie in the motherboard of the phone. If so then the phone may need to be taken to your local store to be checked. You can also follow the LG Neon Motherboard Replacement Guide to remove and replace the motherboard.
*Water Damage
If you think your phone is water damaged, then check the strip on the battery. To remove the battery, follow the LG Neon Battery Replacement Guide. You will see a white or pink/red strip. If the strip is white then that part is not water damaged. If the strip is pink or red then your battery and most likely the rest of the phone is water damaged. If your battery is water damaged and unresponsive, then try using a new battery before replacing the phone.
If phone is not working, then here is a technique used by many. Soak your phone in 99% Isopropyl alcohol for about two hours. Once you have done that, put your phone in a bag of uncooked rice for a few hours. In this stage the rice will absorb all the moisture and hopefully restore your phone. If your phone is not fixed then your phone should be taken to a local store for evaluation.
