Phone will not Turn On

No matter what you do, you can't get your Phone to turn on.

Phone May be Turned Off

If your Phone’s problem isn't so easily solved, read on.

Drained/Bad battery

If your Phone won't turn on, especially if it has not been used recently, you may simply have a drained battery. Plug your Phone into your AC (wall) adapter and see if anything happens. Ideally your Phone will recognize it has been connected to a power source and charge its battery. If it will no longer charge, the battery must be replaced.

Bad Display

It is possible that it appears nothing is happening because the display is bad. If the battery is working properly but nothing is visible, it is possible the display is bad and must be

Bad Logic Board

Ultimately, if the display and battery are not the culprit, check all the connections from the display to the logic board. If they are connected properly and there is still no life, the logic board most likely needs to be replaced.

Camera not Working

You open the camera, and you can’t see anything.

Camera App Has Froze

Simply exiting the camera, waiting for 30 seconds and then restarting the app by tapping on the app icon.

Camera is Blocked

It’s possible that something is covering the outside of the camera, which is preventing an image to appear on the screen. Assure that your finger, case, or anything else is not blocking the camera from capturing an image.

Phone Glitch

A common cause of application issues is a software glitch. If the camera has stopped working without any reason, then restart the device.

Faulty Camera

It’s possible the physical camera lens is faulty or damaged. It may need to be replaced.

No Audio or Distorted Audio

Your Phone turns on and appears to work, but when you plug in headphones or try to listen through the speakers, the audio doesn't play properly.

Faulty Headphones

It's unlikely your headphones or speakers are bad, but it's worthwhile to eliminate these as the source of your problem at the beginning. Try your headphones with another device to make sure that the problem is with the phone.

Faulty Audio Jack

The most likely cause of audio output problems on the Phone is a bad audio-out jack. First try a hard reset on the Phone to make sure it is not a software issue. If that fails to work, try replacing the audio jack or exterior speakers. If that doesn't solve the problem, your logic board most likely needs replacement.

Home or Volume Buttons not Working

You press the exterior buttons, but nothing happens.

Phone Glitch

Just turned it off and back on.

Case (if applicable) May Block Volume Buttons

Although unlikely, if a case is on the phone, it may be blocking or making it difficult to press down the volume buttons properly. It is necessary to remove the case and attempt to use the buttons again.

Faulty Buttons

The buttons might be damaged or faulty. They will need to be replaced.

No Display

The phone is turned on, but nothing shows on the screen.

Very Low Brightness

It is possible that brightness setting on your phone is low. To fix this issue, following the steps below:

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the Display tab or scroll to and tap Display.
  3. Scroll to the Brightness slider.

Screen Damaged

The screen has cracks or is damaged preventing the screen from turning on.
