Does your television have image distortion? Is the picture either too large or too small for the TV’s screen? Televisions are susceptible to a range of problems that can cause them to have distorted video or images. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.
If your television is experiencing HDMI troubles including no signal and distorted video, see the Insignia NS-24ER310NA17 No Signal With HDMI problem page for possible causes and solutions.
Cause 1: Incorrect Settings
If your television is producing distorted images or the picture will not fit in the TV’s screen, there is likely an issue in your device’s settings. To resolve this, press the start button on the Roku remote and scroll to picture size using the up and down arrows. Select picture size and then choose a new size. Choose a larger size if the picture is too small. Choose a smaller size if the picture is too large.
Cause 2: HDMI Problems
If your TV’s video is distorted when using an HDMI connection, the computer may be operating at an incorrect resolution. To fix this, double-check the Resolution settings by right-clicking the desktop, and selecting “Screen Resolution.” The ideal resolution for every computer is different. To change the resolution settings of your computer display, go to settings, display, advanced display settings (if you cannot currently see a setting for the resolution) and change the resolution to best fit the TV. Play around with different resolution settings, until you find the one that looks the best on your TV.
Cause 3: Faulty Screen
If you have tried the above solutions and the television still displays distorted pictures and videos, the TV’s screen may be faulty. Use the Insignia NS-24ER310NA17 Screen Replacement Guide to replace the television’s faulty screen.
Cause 4: Faulty Motherboard
If you have tried the above solutions and the television continues to have image distortion issues, there may be a problem with the TV’s motherboard. See the Insignia NS-24ER310NA17 Motherboard Replacement Guide to replace the television’s faulty motherboard.
