Just for future reference Apple Care Plus will cover any accidental damage. They would charge a maximum of $299 Service fee, Likely would replace your MacBook with a refurbed one but would be best since liquid damage can affect multiple parts that add up when replacing. Hope your MacBook survived and serves you for many years to come.
On older imacs I would put new thermal paste as it's probably dried up by now and can be over heating quickly and causing the shut down. Another possibility is a failing Hard Drive, altho this usually won't shut down the computer you would just get a folder flashing or a circle with a line through it. I'm curious to know if this helped you. Keep me posted. Thanks
Unfortunately it looks like you have a dead/shorted out LCD panel. If you have tried a new mainboard/powerboard and backlight stays on only when you disconnect the bottom lvds then that's all you can do. A new panel is going to cost more than a new tv. Hope this helped, not really the news someone wants to hear but none the less. Return the parts you can ?
Batteries are flammable so if it was smoking or has a sweet odor I would dispose of it carefully. Most recycling places should be able to help with disposing of it properly Here is a link with some info https://www.call2recycle.org/lithiumion-battery-safety/
Likely OLED panel dying, if you have a cracked screen this eventually happens. If no cracks are present it is possible the water resistant seal on the display or back glass has let in moisture/liquid and is corroded the display. A screen repair or phone replacement seems imminent so just backup often ?
From my experience this can be a sign of a bad Graphics Card. I would unplug it from your mother board and if your desktop has a Display connection such as HDMI or VGA on it then plug it directly to that and boot it up. The only time this won't work is if your Processor doesn't have integrated graphics or your motherboard doesn't have a display connection on it. Also could you get us the model of your desktop, motherboard, gpu, cpu this might help us get you a better answer/solution. Thank you
Bravia TV are a bit tricky as all the boards are co dependent but I would try doing a firmware update with a USB drive. You should be able to locate that on the Sony Support page and walks you through creating the usb with that file and the steps to do on the TV. AND also give the usb a long while to compete it's thing. I once was impatient and had given up on it, left for lunch and it was able to complete the process and came up.
I would check to see if the mesh grill that's on the front your your screen near the top is clogged. I would clean this with some isopropyl alcohol and a small brush. Sometimes when it's dirty the sound gets trapped in a small chamber and sounds muffled. This is a picture of a clean speaker mesh grill. Would like to hear if this helped. ?
If it was in the middle of updating it might have failed and is now stuck. You may loose data unless it's been backed up but if you just need your phone working you can try using a tool called 3U Tools on a windows PC to try and reinstall iOS on the phone. If you have a Mac you can also place your phone in DFU mode and then restore it with iTunes. You may also need to put the phone in DFU mode to use 3U tools to reinstall. Hope this helps ?
This happens more often than you would think. Unfortunately the adhesive is the only thing that holds those screens in place and they degrade over time. This happens quicker if you are in a warm environment often, a sauna, in direct sun, or if it's getting wet often. This can be repaired but due to the age your best option might be to replace it as the repair is likely to cost you more than it's worth. From what you have described all you may need is the force touch sensor adhesive gasket (14.99) but finding a shop with a low service charge is the issue. Good luck and hope this was helpful
