This is way late, but the heat thing resultant from the repeatedly stressed connection seems to be the issue. a.k.a. "Bad Design" See FLIR pic: https://ibb.co/h24jY7B The connection is the hottest thing around by 20 degrees (case next to the connection is only 98˚)
