The digitizer must be the issue. I can't give out any repair guides because there isn't any, but that's the best I can state from here.

First things first, what BLU phone is it? I can't address any device-specific solutions for it. Second, how was the battery removed? Was it on purpose or it was by accident? Anyway, depending on the model, it may be able to get fixed, as long the removal of that battery didn't take anything else with it.
