Dell Vostro V130 Memory Module Replacement

Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

Slide the base cover towards the front of the computer. Lift it up and away from the computer.

If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

Lift the black cable-release clip to release the battery cable from the connector on the system board and disconnect the battery cable.

Remove the screws that secure the battery to the computer.

Lift the battery up and away from the computer.

Starting on the right side of the system, use a plastic scribe to pry up the LED cover from the computer.

Pull the LED cover toward the keyboard and remove it from the computer.

Use your fingertips to spread apart the securing clips on each end of the memory module connector until the memory module pops up.

Remove the memory module from its connector on the system board by drawing the module from the system board at 45-degree angle.
