Background and Identification
The Swann Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera (Model number: SWWHD-INDCAMPK2) was released as a device to allow users to monitor cameras remotely with their phones. The cameras work over a stable Wi-Fi signal and can be viewed using the SAFE app by Swann. The SAFE app allows for two way audio and video with any cameras connected to the app 24/7. In addition to the SAFE app by Swann, the camera works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant smart home devices.
Each camera weighs 7.83 oz, has a white casing, and a black center with the lens located in the center. The camera provides a wide field of view of 110 °, 1080p recording quality, and an infrared distance of 33ft. The device is powered by a micro-USB plugin and optionally a battery for short time periods. Every video clip is saved to onboard memory for 7 days and to Swann’s servers for 2 days.
Unlike other Swann Security Cameras, this model excludes the use of exterior antennas, this provides an easy way of distinguishing it from other Swann devices. Another subtle difference is the inclusion of a ball joint base instead of a pan and tilt style base (narrow with ball joint instead of large and surrounding the camera).
Currently the Swann Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera dosen’t have any recalls.
