Background and Identification ¶
The Palm T|X is a personal digital assistant released by Palm Inc. in 2005. The Palm T|X was the successor to the Tungstun T5 PDA. Featuring built-in Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, the Palm T|X was Palm's flagship PDA. Palm made the T|X available for 4 years before they took it off the retail market in 2009.
The Palm T|X has several unique features that distinguish it from its predecessor, the Tungsten T5. Verify that your device is the Palm T|X using the following list:
- The Palm T|X has an identification sticker on the rear panel. In the top right corner of the sticker, you should find "T|X".
- The Palm T|X is a flat, dark shade of blue while the Tungsten T5 is a glossy shade of titanium.
- The Palm T|X has a flat back while the Palm Tungsten T5 has two square-shaped indentations on the back.
- Both the Palm T|X and Tungsten T5 have bluetooth built-in. The Palm T|X also has wi-fi built in, where as the Tungsten T5 requires the use of a SDIO wi-fi module to utilize it's wi-fi capabilities.
