Background
The HP Elitebook 800 is a line of premium laptops in the HP company’s category developed in October, 2013 that is designed for business and remote work, with the intent of replacing the previous HP Compaq model in terms of performance. This computer is used mainly by entrepreneurs, businesspeople, students and educators, as well as gamers, scientists, doctors, and other technicians. These laptops are known for their durability, simple design, and elite performance, hence its premium categorization.
A new series of this device has been progressively added every year, with the new device being the upgraded version of the previous device. The purpose of this device, which is to enhance business and remote work for corporate people, has not changed. At first, this model was released with three different screen sizes, starting with the 830/840/860 models. With the screen size of 12.5inches/14inches/15.6inches respectively. But every year, the HP company releases new Generations of laptops of the Elitebook 800 series. In 2013, they released the G1 Series. In 2016-2016, they released the G2 and G3 series. In 2018 to 2019, they released the G5 and G6 Series, which is supposed to enhance performance and security. In 2020-2021, they released G7 and G8, to focus on making the device better suited for collaboration and work. In 2022 to 2024, they released the G9 to G11 model, which is supposed to make the design more modern, plus enhance all the other features they added to the HP Elitebook series before. The HP Elitebook has and is always growing every year in generations, with better features added to each generation, and now they’re incorporating more AI into their modern series.
Identification
HP EliteBook 800 laptops can be identified by the silver aluminum chassis and the reflective “hp” logo centered on the top lid. A smaller “hp” logo is also printed below the display. The laptop also includes a webcam centered at the top of the display.
Port placement helps distinguish the EliteBook 800 series from other HP EliteBook models:
