Background Information
The Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT was initially released by Garmin as cheaper alternative to the Garmin Nuvi 3597LMTHD as it offers almost the same exact features for the trade off of a bulkier device. The device looks very similar to the 3597LMTHD, with the main difference being the extra weight and thickness. The Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT has a 5" screen, weighs 6.6 ounces, offers free lifetime traffic alerts and navigation, and has voice-activated navigation and Bluetooth compatibility. The Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT measures your speed as you travel, as well as, alerts you of school zones and traffic.
No known recalls or manufacturer failures have occurred for the Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT. The Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT can also pair with other devices including: the BC 30, which is a backup camera, a Mount to hold the device in your car, USBs and other memory storage devices.
