Identification from Earlier Versions (1st, 2nd and 3rd)

The Freedom Scientific Focus Blue 4th Gen is distinguishable from earlier generations (classic units) due to the lack of the scroll wheels (WHIZWHEEL) on either side of the display. A Classic unit is any Focus Blue whose serial number begins with 43 and was purchased prior to June/July 2012.

Identification from Later Versions (5th)

The 5th generation Focus Blue braille displays have an additional "Menu button" in the centre of the Perkins-style keyboard, between keys 1 and 4.
