背景与识别
Beats 蓝牙音箱包括 Beats Pill 1.0、Beats Pill 2.0、Beats Pill XL 和 Beats Pill+。Beats Pill 1.0 于 2012 年发布。Beats Pill 1.0 的物理控制按键极少，外观时尚，内置麦克风，配有 Micro USB 接口、3.5 mm 音频输入和输出插孔以及 USB 交流电源适配器。Beats 在次年（2013 年）发布了另一个版本的 Pill。Beats Pill 2.0 拥有更长的电池续航时间，配备了可为 USB 设备充电的接口，并具备通过近场通信 (NFC) 与其他 Beats Pill 音箱配对的功能。
Beats Pill+ 于 2015 年发布。这是自苹果公司于 2014 年收购 Beats 后发布的首款 Beats Pill 产品。Beats Pill+ 比之前的 Beats Pill 系列略大。其设计旨在提升音质并延长电池续航时间（从约 7 小时提升至 12 小时）。
Beats Pill XL 于 2013 年 11 月发布，但苹果公司于 2015 年 6 月 3 日召回了该产品。此次召回是为了应对 Beats Pill XL 电池过热及自燃的案例。苹果建议 Beats Pill XL 用户退回产品并获取退款。
正如其名，Beats 音箱呈药丸形状。其结构非常像一颗拉长并放大的药丸。它们拥有弯曲的外壳，设备中部印有 Beats 标志。
