device work to slow to start any apps

I did recently upgrade. So I decided to do something I should have done. I did a complete reset. I lost wifi and a few things that I had to re-enable but it did the trick. You gave me the idea with yours.

try cleaning out your apps? triple click the home button and it gives you the most recent opened apps..they seem to still be running in the background, so click and close each one, sometimes it helps. Also check that all the apps are updated to the ios in app store or they will run sluggish.

Hello Deleter,

Did you recently update your iPhone 3GS? My friend recently updated his 3GS to iOS 5 and he found that it took 10-15 seconds to load some apps.

Try disabling iCloud by going to Settings > iCloud and turn off what you can. Also try disable Sync over Cellular. I'm looking at an iPhone 4 at the moment so it may differ.
