It might kill your data so be careful on a limited plan that's below 15-20GB, but what I have done when I need a mobile data connection is I use my iPhone's hotspot in maximum compatibility mode. The reason I use max compatibility is short of other Apple devices made since 2020, there's a high chance of connection issues - happens with older Apple devices and PCs and Androids all the time for me.
