My 2023 Asus ROG Flow X16 has randomly stopped posting, the keyboard leds turn on and the laptop has power, whether that's on battery or mains. Screen will not turn on for me to enter the bios etc.
Wondering if it's the CMOS battery and if anyone knows where it is located on the motherboard

@dreronin before looking for the CMOS battery connect an external monitor. Check and see if that shows properly. IF so, then the issue is related to either your LCD or the video circuit on your motherboard.
Keep in mind that your laptop may no have a CMOS battery. It is common now that the CMOS etc. is being kept alive by having the main battery charge a capacitor for that purpose. According to the boardview, your main battery provides power for the RTC (Real Time Clock) on pin 6 of the battery connector.
If anything I would consider a corrupt BIOS being more of an issue than a failed CMOS battery. Use this Asus ROG Flow X16 Series SM for now to open your computer etc.

So I have connected an external monitor and there is no signal to that either. I have removed and disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes, no change so far. I'll give that manual a look
@dreronin bad BIOS or failed GPU are now to be considered.
