Just opened up my set I got as a gift. The iron works great but the hub won’t charge. I put it on a charger that reports draw and it just keeps cycling on an off at 0.1w. I also tried to connect it to my computer to see if the online tool worked but no luck. I have also tried 3 other usb c cables to no luck. I also took the unit apart and disconnected and reconnected the battery.
Guessing I may have a lemon but wanted to check here first…

There seems to be teething problems with the device, as you're not the only one having some problems with it.
Contact ifixit and check if there's a solution available

Hello @justinm36946, it sounds like you may have experienced what I went through 5 months earlier (except perhaps without the issue with firmware version 1.4.0), as I've detailed in another thread here.
The direction you want to head in is: the battery could've been completely drained and won't turn on (with the firmware preloaded onto the FixHub out-of-the-box), but you should still be able to eventually get the FixHub and the soldering iron firmware to update in DFU mode with a data-enabled USB-C to USB-A cable using the FixHub WebUSB console page. (For more info, consult the "Further Troubleshooting for Unresponsive Unit" section on the support page for "FixHub Power Station Not Turning On".)

Hi.
I just received my Hub today as well and I think I have the same problem.
I tried different chargers, normal USB-A to USB-C, USB-C 30W (Apple iPhone Charger) and an Apple MacBook Charger 60W and of course with different cables as well.
But, nothing helps to charge the station. The soldering iron works fine.
Is this another .. bad package :(
