New 2ds xl Turns off when closed

Hello, I recently got back into using a 3ds and my old one will shut itself down whenever I close it to put it into sleep mode. Does anyone know what I might need to replace to fix this issue?

Hi!

Did you do a repair recently? It’s possible that something is shorting. Is the New 2DS up to date??
