While using the hot air rework station to try to replace the USB-C port I must have blown of this component as I notice it in a video but see nothing but solder where that part would be. What is this component and can I replace it or is this a lost cause?

I don't believe so. Its more a square than a rectangle and has 4 small gold points.
Hmm, it's hard to find the part. Maybe it's an idea to buy a broken (donor) motherboard where you can take the component off?
