Since the L button is close to where the power button sits on the board it makes me think maybe a piece of the L button is loose and touching the power button or traces of it.
Check the pads and reseat the L button and see if that fixes your issue would be my recommendation

My switchlite replace a direction key by myself.
After that the L button working as a power button.
Everytime I click L button will lock screen.
