Why my Maxima 99 hold rear brake when I reverse ? & it never reverse

@basilml82 if it does not let you reverse you do want to make sure that it is the brake and not the transmission (Let us know if you have an Automatic or a Manual)
If you are certain that it is your brakes, you do want to check for seized calipers.
