Touchscreen Needs A lot of Pressure After replacement

I bought an iFixt Repair screen with fingerprint reader and everything. After replacing the screen I noticed that the touch screen is often unresponsive, but seems to almost work normally if I can maintain a lot of pressure on the sides of the screen. Basically semi clamping it down seems to help.

Is there any way to run a true screen calibration to get things working? Or is this just a defective screen?
