Any clever way to hids display delamination?

I inherited a mid 2015 15inch MacBook Pro. It is a great unit with the quad core i7 and 16gb of ram but there is one irritating issue.

The screen has clearly been treated poorly by the previous owners and it is a showing large amount of delamination on the display.

It isn’t a huge bother while the screen in on, but when it is black it isn’t very noticeable.

So, I am wondering if there is any clever way to hide or remove this without replacing the display, since a new display unit is so dang expensive. Would some sort of screen protector disguise it?

Thanks in advance to all the fixers on here!

The coatings can be stripped fully, but you may not like the look as the high glare of the glass becomes an issue.

Thanks, Dan! How would you go about stripping the coating off of the screen fully?

I’ve found mouthwash does a good job! Here’s a good vid How to remove Anti-Glare-Coating from MacBook Pro (EXTREMELY EFFICIENT)

I found using a damp paper towel (not dripping wet!) pressed by a light book (covered with plastic) speeds things up and less pressure is needed.

Afterwards I would get an anti glare protector like Supershieldz

@danj I just learned to live with it on my 2014; my 2015 is fine. It was more or less in the out of the way areas. It was impossible to find one without that issue for 2014. 2015's are easier.
