The only real fix is to replace the entire screen; the individual layers such as the backlight, LCD and digitizer/front glass are all bonded together and require specialized equipment to separate and repair; most of us don't have vacuum tables and chambers and UV chambers lying around the house.

The good news is your phone takes an LCD screen rather than an OLED display, so replacements are much cheaper. You can find them easily on places like Amazon, eBay and AliExpress; here's an example from Amazon for about $25 USD.
Otherwise the only other thing I'd suggest is a screen protector. The edge to edge ones make it a little less obvious there's a screen protector on and will keep the crack from getting worse and/or possibly cut your finger.

Those are about the only choices as something you can do yourself at home. My granddaughter had an iPhone 7 with a small crack in the corner of the screen; I ordered a new screen but held off replacing it knowing her history of breaking things. Sure enough she dropped the phone and killed the motherboard, but I was really thinking she'd break the screen worse and then I'd be ready for her. The best laid plans, eh?

There are ways to polish the screen using CNC machines which some shops may have, however, they rely on taking some of the glass off the screen which isn’t recommended…
