Phone not working after replacing LCD screen?
I broke the LCD screen in my iPhone 3g a few months ago and got a repair shop to replace it so when i dropped it last week i could see it was the same problem as last time!
So i ordered a new LCD screen on Ebay and decided to replace it myself. As i was trying to detach the #3 cable i think i slightly damaged the connecter that holds the cable in place. I didn't think much of it and carried on replacing the screen.
I had a lot of trouble getting the cable #1 to clip down but eventually i got the phone back together and it didn't work at all! It wouldn't turn on, didn't vibrate when i put it on silent and iTunes wouldn't recognise it was plugged in! I've tried practically everything on the internet and after lifting up all of the 6 cables (in the hope of one of them being the battery!) i put cables #1, #2 and #3 in place then cables #4, #5 and #6. Now iTunes is recognising the phone and it vibrates when i switch it to silent.
But the screen is still black and the touchscreen doesn't appear to be working (before i replaced the screen the touchscreen was working fine and i could answer calls etc.)
From what i've read cable #3 not working should only be affecting the speakers so i don't think this is the only thing i've done wrong! Really hope someone can help me! I can't afford to replace my phone, i only tried to do it myself to save money!
