Will a mid 2014 logic board work in my late 2013 model?
I need to replace the logic board in my 2013 15" macbook pro. Will the mid 2014 logic board work?

Well… Yes and No
Apple produced two versions of this series IG and DG
- IG - Integrated Graphics: Basically, using the Intel graphics engine within the CPU, Intel Iris 5200 Pro graphics.
- DG - Dual Graphics: Here a second GPU chip was added to the logic board, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M.
I recommend reviewing which version you have and replace like for like in the Mid 2014 line up.

The IGP 2014 is more common and not worth the hassle; I own the iris 5200 2014 because of the butterfly keyboard trainwreck generation. However, the IGP 2014 has the GT750 which got left behind early due to the switch to AMD so pretty major disadvantage for things like OS patching.
The money is better spent on a 2015 DG BUTT you can't interchange displays on those.
@nick - Let’s not confuse! Other than the IG/DG the late 2013 and mid 2014 share the same parts just the boards specs changed.
The 2015 is a complete redesign with major parts being changed out.
