Need to get a screen replaced
I have a Muse hobby laser with a broken screen. Wondering if a whole new 7 inch screen can be put on

Hi Jayson,
What's the model number of your hobby laser? Also, since it appears you have the LCD out already, can you check the back of it to see if there is any model number information on it? Generally companies don't make their own LCDs, so it might be possible to locate the original manufacturer and buy it from them.

It's a FSL Muse 2D
@jayson74 Can you post a picture of the back side of the LCD along with the ribbon cable that broke?
The ribbon part# is X8F LCD FPC 2015-3-13 It is for a Innolux screen model N070ICN -GB1

Some info that may help if you can't find the exact cable.
There are suppliers online (one example only) for the screen but it doesn't come with a cable.
According to this datsheet for the LCD panel the cable interface connector is a Panasonic AYF333135 which is a 31 pin 0.3mm pitch female FPC ZIF connector.
Try using with a same spec fpc cable (supplier example only).
I don't know the length that you need but they come in various lengths.
Just something to consider if you can't find the exact replacement.

That screen actually works. It's the ribbon on the back that broke and the touch screen does not work. Figure it is easier just to have someone replace the whole screen. FSL said it's too old to replace and won't deal with it anymore. I can't the parts plus I do not know how to repair/replace the screen
