Phone sometimes won't receive calls or texts. SOMETIMES not all

Hello,

I have an iPhone 7 and within the past 2 days, it SOMETIMES hasn't recieved any calls or texts and won't pop up in missed calls or text history. It is not a problem with screentime limitations, as these took place in the middle of the day and there are no restrictions on text or call. Voicemail isn't set up and i've only opened up my phone once 2 years ago to replace the battery and followed all instructions with everything working after the replacement. But the thing is that it won't even notify me that I am currently getting a call and then won't pop up in the history. Is this apple limiting what my phone can do so they can make me buy a new one?

I AM OPEN TO ALL ANSWERS SO MAKE SURE TO POST AN ANSWER SO THAT I CAN RESOLVE THIS ISSUE

at&t is the network provider

Right, it may sound obvious, have you tried another provider? Just buy a PAYG sim and try for a few days.

It doesn’t sound like you’ve got long screw disease as it works sometimes

@tay0_0, You don’t mention whether you get a No Service in the upper right “bar”, but just to mention it: There were a small number of iPhone 7 devices that had a component prone to failure, causing them to lose service at random.

Another thing is to make sure that you’re using the latest provider settings (you can check in Settings -> Cellular). Also try to reset your network settings, as they can sometimes be the cause.

Resetting the network settings will not touch the data, just those settings and will reboot when reset is done.

Not sure but I think your phone has “long screw disease”. Basically that’s when you put in the wrong screw in one of the holes in the Wi-Fi/cellular antennas and broke it. It’s a very common thing with iPhones, so I think that’s the culprit.

i have never removed a screw from the antenna or the wifi thingy, only the bottom screws to open the iphone and the 2 that hold the bracket that covers the battery connector. thanks for your answer.

Maybe the antennas might have died. Have you tried multiple SIM cards?
